Photographer's Note
How many fishermen to launch a boat? All they can get! Everyone availabe helps, a lot of times, even a tourist or two. The boat is strips of coconut wood sewn together with coconut twine. The boat goes out with the huge net thrown behind it. Men stand as deep in the Arabian Sea as possible, and way up the shore holding the nets often for hours. Men standing on raft like, small coconut log, boats, also often hold on to the net even farther out to sea. They wait till a school of fish swim by, then, quickly start bringing in the net. Sometimes the enormous net, even so far out, will catch be little or nothing. In my country, men who lift weights never impress me. People who earn their strength through hard work are the heroes of the world. They feed a family on little money, with backbreaking work that western countries could never imagine.

Hello Gloria,
What a superb action shot. For what appears to be a scanned photo from almost four years ago, it is of unusually good quality of color and resolution (I don't know about the Olympus C-5050z). The exquisitely composed photo, and features flawless exposure. Your not also is informative and appreciated.
