Made Duplicate Layer, Screen Blending Mode, 33% opacity. Invoked blending options to kill screen effect gradually from level 128 to level 229. Added Curve layer, pulled-up black point 5% to level 12, added 10% contrast at midpoint (raising level 128 to 141 value). Added 5% saturation to compensate for the induced brightness that washed-out some subtle colors.

The closeup doesn't always tell everything. A wider view reveals how different the shapes/layers/colours can be just a few metres apart. Enjoy.

This is actually a picture taken a few seconds later, covering the whole building, not just the entrance.

I made snow white. Moreover I added blurred layer to soften the picture.
That's a way to emphasize the calmness.

Okay, I'm also a sucker for skie, and you captured quit a spectacle. But it's dark, probably WAS dark when you took it. I use scenes like this as grist for graphics, so did a fast edit to make the shot more general, less "mood" as your original. I did a simple autolevels, resized, took out some yellows. Hope you don't mind seeing the storm from another viewpoint.
