this is a pretty shot. the moon looks gorgeous with the hazy gradient of colors around it and the sky tower-the neonish glow is splendid

je trouve cette composirtion pleine d'imagination comme je les aime...je ne comprends pas comment il y a un peu de nuage autour de la lune et nulle part aillieurs...les couleurs sont bien rendues...la pleine lune est du plus bel effet...amicalement BI

Excellent night shot Brendan! You choosen the perfect shutter speed, the tower is perfectly enlightened and the sky is not too blurred.

as i looked it in a trumbnail size,i supposed it was an axis of swivel ,but actually it was a huge tower!and i found ur shoot at architecture are all excellent.
the contrast between the moving clouds with the still building was the big hero here..

Haunting but futuristic. While the moon is behind the amoebic ghostly cloud, the color and detail of the Skytower is pretty electric. A photoartistic impression. Hie again Brendan.

This is a good shot of the Sky Tower Brendan. Auckland Blues must have been playing rugby that week, I think. Well done.

This is something special Brendan, because it looks more like an abstract picture than a regular shot of a tower and the moon. This is why I will not say that the top of the tower should be kept intact, someone has to look at this picture as a whole and a feast of colors only. Good shot - Izzet Keribar

Great night shot with the moon in the center of image , I like very much the exposure time colours and sharpness of your image , I also make night shots if you want take a look at my pics .

wow! i have to add this (and you) to my favourites. your photography is fantastic.

i like the colours here and the framing. it looks a touch blurry, but that could be the movement of the clouds during your long exposure.

Very clever and unusual composition.
Intersting contrast between muted, almost black and white, colour of the clouds, and the dramatic man-made colout of the tower.
Works well with that crop.

Hi Brendan.

You see, I could never have found you on TE if I didn't see you post in the forum. I like how the moon here is well glued to the tower, as if they are part of the same light show.
I also like the different approach in cropping than the usual.

Hey Brendan! What a nice shot! Very well cropped, but first very well done, with nice exposition presenting beautiful colours and a wonderful composition with the tower/moon/clouds. I΄ve been in Auckland a few years ago and loved it. It΄s a pity I spent just one day, on the way to Fiji.

I love the colors of the tower against the black sky. I also like how still it all is in contrast to the clouds which much have been moving very fast. I think the only thing that bothers me is that the moon isn't centered, but that's not enough to take anything away from this wonderful photograph.

Hello Brendan,

A wonder perspective of the skytower here, during my visits to Auckland it seems to change colour every time, the first time it was green and red (for christmas I gather) and the second blue and yellow. This colour combo looks the best I think. The position of the moon and eerie cloud motion blur combine to offer a brilliant photograph. Excellent work.
