Hi Karen,
Excellent details to this wonderful look at an old prairie barn. The tall grass really stands out the sepia format and makes the composition take on a timeless feel

Karen,
Can't find much to criticize in this one. I am not a lover of B&W but it works pretty well here. The detail is great and the angles and the fg grass, all very nice. Goon capture.

Hi Karen,
I like the low point of view choosen here. Nice old structure, but I'm not the biggest fan of sepia. See the quadtone version in the workshop.
Your shot did suffer from the resizing and compression. A bit of digital noise around the top of the grass, but it's okay. Thanks for sharing!

Karen,
I like your choice of angle in this one, and the sepia works great, giving it a timeless feel.
A bit of noise in there, but hopefully just from the jpeg compression.
Cheers!

Hi Karen, I think the sepia treatment was very effective in bringing out the attractive qualities of this old building (texture, weather-beaten appearance). Good POV too, with the waving stalks in the foreground to emphasize the rusticity of the scene. Good work!

Well done here Karen. The sepia works and the barn is well placed in the image. The grasses in the top third work to distract the viewer from the otherwise bland sky. You have some ghosting on the grasses, possibly from oversharpening.

Hey, Karen,
you are making WONDERFUL progress. This is a great shot. I love the POV and the grasses framing the foreground. The barn is an excellent spot in the composition and I love that sepia tone. That's terrific! Have a great weekend,

Hi, Karen
Good shot. Sepia makes it more old and impart to it more interesting contry mood.

Hello Karen, I like both your 'barn' shots but this one in sepia, goes nicely with the idea of an old barn. The POV works very well looking up through the grasses.
Any idea how old this barn is?
TFS, regards Jean.

Nice shot Karen. Great low POV, making it a very original photo with all the grass in front of the barn. It looks like there is a little bit of jpeg artifacts of something around some of the grass but no big deal really. Good sepia tones and nice contrast.
Great work.

Hi Karen,
A good compo from an interesting low POV in the high grass... sepia gives it a atmosphere... Exposure and sharpness are fine

you win..and i mean it...the grasses here shout..country and wandering paths...so we come upon the old barn...again...which i like in monotone..some contrast needed maybe..but full of shape and form to suggest the era and antiquity
god bless

Hi Karen
First, a woman fifty years old is not old, only has more experience!!!Look at my age, and i still am here showing my photos.
Second, you have lovely photos as this one.
The sepia is still a nice colour as well as black and white for some subjects.
Congratulations

I like the composition of this photo with the foreground, the barn and the sky. It reminded me of my trip to visit a an old friend in Lethbridge, Alberta on August 9, 2007.

I like your take on this rustic old barn. The low angle up through the tall grass was a good choice. The grasses provide a great foreground element luring the viewer into the main subject/focal point in the middle of the photo.
Well done with the sepia tones - on my screen here, the sky comes across with an ever so slight purple/red haze. None the less,
Well done!

Hi Karen!Very nice old barn! I ike the composition with these plants in foreground. Sepia was a good option I believe, it matches with the age of the barn.Seems an old photo, I like it!

Hello Karen,
le traitement duotone convient trθs bien pour cette photo, par laquelle tu donne un caractθre intemporel.
Un excellent POV pris de trθs bas qui met avantageusement la vιgιtation en premier plan. L'expositon est parfaite.
