Photographer's Note

I taked these picture during a rain day, these rain come after 37 days very dry weather without one drop rain, the people and animals together with the nature can enjoy from the green area.
As usual I try again great depth and double perspective to show, through the bad weather see we no clouds but raindrops on the canal and a gray sky.
I used a momopod above on the handrail of the bridge, you can see I used f/22 for a great and sharp depth.

Goedemorgen John, een sfeervolle regen plaat, ik heb bijna de neiging mijn scherm droog te vegen. Het perspectief is opnieuw vorstelijk en manier waarop u de brugleuning gebruikt om het te starten werkt zeer goed. Het vele groen is inderdaad opvallend hier, door de regen is het mooi gesatureerd en het werkt prettig grafisch hier. Een sterke plaat John!
Een goed weekend toegewenst uit een regenachtig en grijs Rotterdam bij 14,4 gr C.

Goedemorgen John,
We zijn bijna buren...
Laat ik beginnen met je standpunt, die vind ik heel erg goed gekozen. Niet alleen de diepte in, maar ook een flinke zijsprong naar links, waardoor je ook daar ineens accenten en diepte creert. Heel erg knap dat je zoiets hebt gezien, maakt de gehele compositie alleen amar sterker.
De kleuren, tsja groen is niet enevoudig om te belichten, de kans op magenta zweem is nadrukkelijk aanwezig maar hier zie ik daar een minimum aanwezig. Wat ik minder vind is het wel heel vele groen waardoor er amper ruimte is voor andere kleuren, daardoor knalt de foto niet echt in contrasten. Zal mede komen door het grijze weer en vooral de lucht die hierbij een negatieve rol speelt. Maar aangezien het weer nu eenmaal niet te bepalen is, moet je het er maar mee doen, dus technisch en kwa uitvoering mankeert er niets aan. Het zijn de kleuren die mij minder aanspreken.
In ieder gevale en sterke foto kwa compositie..!!

Dag John,
The perspective along the canal is a typical and good "John perspective". The handrail in diagonal to this but nearly in parallel to the captures border is a great addition here. You got a great V and the capture has a magnificant depth. The rainy weather created a green touch with all the reflections. It is good to see some wet landscapes after this long dry period.

less jeux d'obliques sont ici partie principale du graphisme de ta photo, tu as bien fait d'inclure la rambarde du pont d'ailleurs.
Cτtι exposition, je trouve le ciel bien pβle et un rien surexposι, pour les couleurs, les verts son un peu fluorescents et manque de naturel.
Eviemement, on voit vien que les conditions de lumiθres sont loin d'κtre bonnes par ce jour de pluie.

Dag, John. Mooi werk op perspectief. Het groen is de overheersende kleur, zelfs de leuning is groen. Spijtig vaιn die grijze lucht die de contrasten moielijk maakt. Op mijn scherm hebben de reflecties aan de wateroppervlakte een vreemde textuur, dit heeft zeker te maken met de inkrimping om aan de TE normen te voldoen.

Bonjour John, J'aime beaucoup le cadre naturel les arbres et la vιgιtation qui entourent l'ensemble, cest comme un grand bol dair frai,
une bonne composition ou les verts (il sont en surnombres ici) ressortent sous le ciel gris, un fort contraste chromatique du ΰ cet environnement de vιgιtation verte dans cette eau tranquille, nous retrouvons enfin le climats belges, et cette pluie qui tombe en bonne quantitι mais en douceur ne peut que favoriser, les agriculteur et les nappes phrιatique, bien amicalement

it seems you can produce great images even in the rain! There are so many lines in this shot; the rail on the bridge, the river, the trees, the path and even the chains on the right. Lovely green tones and a great pov make this a fine capture my friend, well seen.

Excellent use of the double perspective which is really your forte. Although the sky is almost washed out due to the rainy weather, it doesnt really matter due to the strong use of the lines.

Olα John, you allways surprise me with these double perspectives with incredible depth. The weather was not the best for photography, but it's great for the farmers and animals. Although the sky is white, I like very much the atmosphere, the green colors and the reflection on the handrail. Excellent composition.

I was one of the first to see this one but had to delay my critique. Interesting composition. My eyes can't decide which direction to look: follow the railings, or the canal. I really like the green tones. You certainly know how to make photographs appealing in dull overcast weather.

The composition is most intriguing, with the lines orthogonal to each other. The shores of the canal and the path alongside converge -- An interesting "V" is made by the bannister in the foreground and the lines of the shores. The lush greens are most inviting. Hoi John,
Dit is een hele moeilijke foto om te nemen in verband met het risico van overbelichten bij een iets lichter punt in de lucht. Het lijkt erop dat het hier goed is gegaan.
De kleuren van het groen vind ik erg goed voor een dergelijke regenachtige dag.
Op de compositie kan ik weinig aanmerken. Een erg mooi dubbelperspectief langs de brugrailing en langs het kanaal. Goed pov ook zo precies naast het kanaal en niet erboven, dat geeft weer een andere dimensie en maakt het net spannender. Goed werk!

Hello John,

excellent composition and vivid colors, I like the two lines created by the bridge to the left and my the river bank. However, sharpness is clearly lacking here - although (or may be because of! - due to the sharp fall of the resolution, especially close to the borders) you employed F22 setting. PP could be of great help to my mind. Still a very nice photo because of the composition.
