Photographer's Note

A beautiful day which starts
After one very short winter, the sun returns already to embellish our spring days.
The sun rises on the valley of Berwine.
The Berwinne or Berwine (Dutch: Berwijn limbourgeois: Berweng) is a small river of the basin which is thrown in the Meuse, between Liege and Maastricht.
The sources of the rivers are with the locality of Birven in the east of the Walloon commune of Aubel, near the American military cemetery of Henri-Vault. The river runs then through the localities of Mortroux, Bombaye, Dalhem and Berneau, to its confluence with the Meuse at Mouland.
The river is the principal river of the Country of Herve. Its valley shelters in particular the "Abbaye de Val-Dieu".
