Photographer's Note
The hike on SUV “Scorpio” was rewarding on our way to Pangong Tso lake from Leh, for I passed more of the amazing high altitude desert scenery for the first time in my life. It was like a satellite view from the altitude of 17,800 feet, Chang La pass. The greenish hue on the slope is the color shade of grass found on the mountains.
The majorities of areas in this cold desert (Ladakh) are rocky and have a thin soil cover, which supports a poor vegetative growth.

The clarity could have been better but the composition is excellent. You have taken this photo from the best possible spot showing the entire stretch of road.
Even I have traveled in this area and is a photogrphers paradise. Any photos of Pangong?
