Photographer's Note
No, this is not strictly Bermuda, but i am not sure Trek Earth allows for longitude and latitude.
This was taken on the 114ft stay sail Schooner, Ashanti of Saba, one of the last racing schooners to be built (Germany 1954). We were crossing in abysmal conditions from Bermuda, to Newport, Rhode Island beating to weather. This shot taken along the side deck sums up the gloomy and rough conditions. Most the crew were sea sick

Amazing photo! Great perspective and narrow shape gave more to the drama on the sea. I like the details in the front, and then DOF is made by the vapour of the water in the mid depth of the image. Hope, you did not loose your camera! Well done!

Jeez...I've got to hold onto something here, or I'm gonna go overboard! Wonderful shot, truly amazing. The perspective and the wide angle make the shot happen for me. Wonderful work!

This really is amazing, just getting into that position and pressing your shutting finger looks hard enough, but getting that impressive compostion also really is something.

Well, if I were in your place I wouldn't have the corage to take this photo. I would join that most of the crew. :)
That a realy great shot, with a very good perspective!

That is a pretty good shot! Really good. Lot of drama here. Dark colours are even increasing this atmosphere.
Very well done!

This picture is excellent due to its colours and extreme dynamics. I would both love and be afraid to be there!

What a wonderful photo! It truly looks like something one would see in the movie 'The Perfect Storm.' Very dramatic and one of my favorite photos I've seen on TE.

Hi twj,
different view here in portrait as opposed to your other landscape version. This has a lot more mood though with deep shadows and a lovely dark grainy wood of the deck. Aghh too much information in the notes, I'm going to be sick.
Regards,
Mark

wonderful.
This shot trasmit action, and the power of natural elements.
Great composition, light contrast and the light panning provide that feeling of a living action.
A perfect shot.
Now is in my favourites collection!

This photo gives me strong sensation and the wish to go sailing around the world. Normally I sail in the gulf of my city (Trieste) and once in a year only some miles further. :-))
Regards for weather conditions in which you've taken the shot, but also for the shot's quality.
Bye,
Giorgio
