Photographer's Note

And finally after little more than 100 days in TE the moment to send the 100th pos has arrived ...
As soon as i have entered here I had very clear ideas on what I wanted to photographonly graphic photos ...a professional deformation sure .....
After 20 days in TE I have changed my ideas.I have understood that not only the colors give great emotionsbut they are above all the history that tell the photos that they provoke the stronger emotions.
Therefore I have begun to watch to me in various way round .....and I have begun a distancesupported also from the many friends who I have known here in TE.and that every day with their intelligent critics they are helping me to improve
I am not a collector of points .....and i have entered in this site one just in order to learn always better this wonderful art therefore that is the photography.where it is important an exchange with persons of every culture and country and with different backgrounds
I find that the greatness of this site is beyond in showing the beauties of every country of the world ....but most of all the exchange of ideas between the persons who are accumunate from the same passionthe intelligent critics whom they make to grow.And I have still a lot to learn...
I have to thank you the many friends who follow me day after day (your support is FUNDAMENTAL), the persons i feel outside of TE via mail ...... and also to the persons who have made a single comment or a fast visit to my job
I want also to thanks the persons who through their fantastic jobs give me great great emotions!

small note for the photo:
Shot made to Venice in steamboat in a strong foggy day.
What it appeals to to me here is the point of departure on the right of all the three major lines of the image (roof of the steamboat, bridge, and wall) and the disposition of the people.the man on the left side, the group of persons in the steamboat on the right..the people on the bridge....finally.... the people in the advertising billboards

One hundred photos. Wow! In a bit over 3 months. Only missed 5 days! You are not here for the points but it is good for the ego to see the number increasing day after day. It is a nice gauge any way. And yours says 26.39 points per photo. It is excellent because you have a marvelous gallery. I have been watching you for a quite long time and I always admired your work. I did not write a critique to all of your photos because we can not write critiques to all the photos. Impossible. But every time the picture says something to me I do it. And it is just the case today. This is a nice composition and good B&W work. I can imagine what they were feeling that foggy morning, visiting a beautiful city in such weather condition. But not every day is a sunny day.

Congratz for the big 100! Really amazing considering you're here for just over 3 months, wht a dedication ;) And indeed an emotional shot here. The foreground, especially the depressed man with his fag, matches so well the joyous figures on the advertising boards. I'd perhaps fancy a bit more profile of the other foreground figures but here when they're looking away you create a special aura of a somewhat mysterious atmosphere. And the compo is nice with all the geometric division, in particuarlly the triangles. Good work here, tfs :)

Well a big congratulations to you, Im glad to have followed your progress on TE for a long while now. Easy to say you are one of the fastest rising new photogs on TE. What I like about you is your sensiblity in catching interesting scenes on the street. BE they highly geometric or not. proof being your note where the first thing you describe about this shot are the lines, the geometry that leads our eyes and guides us. Well done, V.

ero in attesa della tua centesima foto! Di grafismo non capisco niente ma adoro vedere la gente nella sua quotidianitΰ. In questa foto poi non mancano i tuoi bei giochi di linee (si vede l'occhio della designer!).
La tua nota poi θ bellissima e traduce in pieno la sensibilitΰ che traspare da tutti i tuoi lavori, il desiderio di comunicare emozioni e di conoscere quelle degli altri.
Ho conosciuto persone fantastiche su questo sito e non l'avrei mai immaginato: ero entrato per caso e l'idea era quella di conoscere di piϊ il mondo. Adesso scopro che ho visto foto bellissime ma soprattutto ho conosciuto persone bellissime. Comunicare sogni, emozioni θ la cosa piω bella che possa avvenire tra persone di luoghi, culture, sensibilitΰ cosν diverse.
I tuoi lavori ne sono un esempio.

Happy 100th posting, Valeria! This is a very good idea that on this occasion you upload one of your most "streetphoto" style images, with a gritty cold urban feel.

It's obvious you've been evolving since the first photos you put in this site, from purely graphic to shots including people. But you still input your proper twist with a design / graphical output. So I think it fits perfectly as an "anniversary" upload.

I agree TE is great for exchanging ideas and fine tuning your own style, though it's a great site if you don't lose your soul in it : you may read what other members suggest (me included ;D ...) but don't forget to retain what makes your photo personnal.
This is also the strength of this site to have different points of views... like the graphical one...

Yes, Venice! This one has a great cinematic feel. It reminds me those realist films from the past century. That white shirt man is incredible and completely dominates the shot. The wooden bridge on the top of him, bathed by good light also plays an important role and adds the graphical element so important in your shots. Happy 100th! hier, j'ai vu que tu postais ta 99eme photo et je me suis demandι ce que tu allais publier aujourd'hui, pour ta centiθme.Eh bien, je ne suis pas dιηu par cette belle scθne de rue (ou de bateau plutτt).Belle compo bien ιquilibrιe.le ton froid de la bichromie convient parfaitement ΰ ce jour brumeux.

Auguriiiiiiiiiii e felicitazioni per la tua splendida 100esima!
Il grazie dobbiamo dirlo noi a te per averci regalato praticamente ogni giorno un piccolo racconto di vita illustrato nello stile che in questi 3 mesi circa θ andato sempre piω delineandosi.
La 100esima immagine ne θ il perfetto riassunto: linee grafiche cuarate, ottima scelta di monocromatismo, personaggi perfettamenmte integrati al "racconto". Insomma... l'evoluzione c'θ stata ma il punto di partenza di 3 mesi fa poneva giΰ un'asticella molto alta.

Brava, complimenti veri e... ora aspetto la 101esima.

Happy you are with us! Congratulations with this 100th posting! A nicely chosen work, I would NEVER have guessed you took it in Venice, the place of all places, so to say. You have an ability dear Valeria to see beyond the incredibly beautiful to bring us shots that are very beautiful without falling into the trap of "touristy" staff. That is a hard thing to do, I guess, for anyone living in a country so incredibly beautiful as you do. But you keep forging ahead with interesting angles, observations. :-) I very much look forward to your next hundred shots!

Ciao Valeria. Congratulations, and I can't believe it is already your 100th on TE but apparently it is true ;). Nice composition with the people underneath the heavy metal structure, and a good shooting perspective to have this triangular opening towards the upper left. Also nice how the "people" theme is echoed by the advertistement posters in the background. I would prefer a bit less of the blue channel in the b&w conversion though. Well done, I hope you keep enjoying your presence here on TE, everybody else surely is.

Ciao Vleria, recupero un pς le foto perse durante l'assenza dovuta al ponte! ottima foto, una buona celebrazione per la 100° foto, con una bella veduta veneziana sicuramente differente dalle 1000 altre presenti su TE, tutte molto uguali e simili, dato che θ una delle cittΰ piω fotografate e note al mondo.

Hi Valeria, congrats with your 100th post. Allthough I noticed your work not immediately it was a fine experience to follow it and see you develop your self at a fast rate. What I like in this shot the interplay between the real and postered people and their almost industrial surroundings and the street photography style. Nice work!
