Photographer's Note

While there are many small rivers and streams into Lake Samsjψen, this is the only river leading out of the lake.

Here we can see the river Lundesokna in the first stretches, floating calmly through the beginning forest landscapes. Later the river turns into rapids through a narrow valley for about 20 km before it ends in the larger river Gaula.

Even if the fish here is mainly the smaller river trout it is a fine place for testing your abilities with the dry fly!

This is also a great place for those who are into photographing dragonflies, on a warm and sunny day like this they simply swarm the place…

There is nothing dramatic in this landscape, nothing like the mountains in the western part of Norway. On the contrary, here we have slowly rolling hills with lakes and ponds scattered all over, connected by small rivers and streams…
