Mountain Landscapes V, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

While there are many small rivers and streams into Lake Samsjψen, this is the only river leading out of the lake.

Here we can see the river Lundesokna in the first stretches, floating calmly through the beginning forest landscapes. Later the river turns into rapids through a narrow valley for about 20 km before it ends in the larger river Gaula.

Even if the fish here is mainly the smaller river trout it is a fine place for testing your abilities with the dry fly!

This is also a great place for those who are into photographing dragonflies, on a warm and sunny day like this they simply swarm the place

There is nothing dramatic in this landscape, nothing like the mountains in the western part of Norway. On the contrary, here we have slowly rolling hills with lakes and ponds scattered all over, connected by small rivers and streams

This is the nordic nature as it is, Pablo. Just love this photo. Pines reflected in a small river, different shades of green, subtle colours... Beautiful! Reminds me of the surroundings of St.Petersburg and Karelia, where I've spent my childhood...

Your series about Norwegian landscapes for my taste shouldn't never end. ;-)
One picture is more beautiful than the other...but I think, in these surroundings it isn't difficult to find an interesting object, but it is - and it will remain - difficult, to take a good photo.
You show how to manage this! Another great picture!

Hello Pablo! This is a lovely scene that is well composed and balanced. I do kind of wish for a richer sky, though (perhaps slighly overexposed?). I love how the water leads the eye into the photo so nicely, and I also enjoy both the interesting foreground elements and the distant trees.

This is another lovely mountain landscape. I think - the best from the series. The river leads the attention across the image, so that we can admire the beauty of this place.
This place is similar to the marshes close to where my parents live (Biebrza in Poland). They are beautiful as well. Many interesting animals live there.
Overall - very good photo - but I think that from the "technical side" Your other photos from "Mountain landscape" series are better. Maybe it is the case of the light (which was much warmer on those photos), maybe something else.
So it might seem strange - why do I call this one "best". Well - for me it is best because it shows a truly amazing place. A place for perfect vacation far away from civilization. Pure nature.

The star of this show for me is the reflections. The lake was acting as a mirror and the reflections are beautiful. Well composed image with greenery almost surrounding the water. The sky seems a bit pale, but other than that a fine image.

Another beautiful image of your not so spectacular landscape series. The POV is well chosen and the composition is perfect, framing the foreground with some vegetation and taking the best advantage of the striking water reflections. Even with a not so attractive strong blue sky, so typical from, the result of this image is still wonderful.

Well composed with good reflections. I like the POV, with an appropriate foreground and good DOF. Although not spectacular the shot, as your note says, is representative of the landscape of this region. The scene is bucolic and resonating with warm mid-summer hues. Well captured.

Looks like a wonderful stream for trout fishing, or as a favorite author of mine describes it, "Walking in a river waving a stick;" although this river looks a bit deep for walking.
The scene you have framed is so idyllic and peaceful while the river and its reflection is so deep and vibrant, that I couldn't resist kicking up the saturation a bit in the rest of the photo.

Lovely mountain stream, that flows lazely along. What lies around the next bend no one knows. Beautiful composition with rich colors. Your POV lets the eye see the next bend without revealing what comes next. I love paddling a canoe or kayak up a stream like this.

I really like this shot. It make me feel for fly fishing. Even if the trouts perhaps are small I am sure that there could be some bigger ones in river of this size and especially if a lake is not far away. A very peaceful setting, a place to forget time and dream about anything. Hopefully there till is wildlife. Nice symphony in green and blue hues - well seen and realized with the right settings.
