Everybody know how much I like rice ;o)...
I'm not sure but this woman was trying to attract me with a Rice Shower, I would like to be just below the basket ;o)
She was dropping the rice grains on the ground to dry them and to separate the bulb from the wrap.
Picture taken on the Madurai Countryside where Henk and Anand led us by motorbike, the village is named Sakudi.

It's a nice caputure of an every-day moment. Brings with it a good feeling for the lady and her surroundings. A view through the rice to her face would have been good too.

Je trouve ca tres beau, Luan. "Rice is...life!" n'est-ce pas? Que c'est vrai, surtout par ici ;o) Ton timing ici est exquis, ainsi que ton cadrage et pique. Question document, c'est parfait.

Une belle photo de la vie quotidienne, avec chaque grain de la douche de riz clairement visible! bonne compo avec la femme excentree, et superbes couleurs!
Joli... je vai bientot etre de retour la bas(une semaine), mais maintenant c est la peridoe des labours, a moins que la mousson joue des tours , ce qui semble etre lecas, on me dit qu il ne pleut pas encore assez!

Amusante ta note ; la technologie indienne a une nouvelle invcention : l'appeau à Luan ! Le simple bruit de grains de riz s'écoulant sur le sol le fait rappliquer.
Sinon, cette scène de la vie quotidienne est parfaitement capturée, il ne fallait pas la rater. Tous les grains de riz tombant sur le sol, le mouvement de la femme et surtout l'ustensile qu'elle tient, pas vraiment courant dans nos contrées. L'arrière-plan n'est pas déplaisant non plus.

Bon timing pour ce cliché! La position de la femme est très bonne. Un tout petit peu moins fan de la barrière blanche en arrière plan. J'aime beaucoup ces petits grains de riz (très nets) qui tombent.

LOLOLOL, typically Luan, en fait ca doit etre Vanessa qui a pris la photo et toi tu etais dessous la bouche ouverte, non ? Les couleurs ne se detachent pas trop bien mais avec le bokeh tu arrives quand meme a separer les grains de riz de l'arriere plan, bien vu.
Tu as mis ton habit de businessman pour vendre plus de photos ?

It has a National Geographic feeling to it. Good composition, nice sharpness and good colouring. The skin tones are nicely balanced and the effect of the falling rice is an impressive feature too. Well captured.

SAlut Luan, tu nous sors ta classique, le "rice is life", maintrnant c'est clair que quand j'entend prononcé cette phrase je pense systématiquement a toi !! Bon par contre en 2 mois je l'ai jamais entendu, et ça c'est un problème, c'est qu'en fait on n'est pas assez altruiste dans nos pseudo riches pays ... même si le don n'est qu'une épisolution bien évidemment.
Bravo en tout cas, j'aime beaucoup cette photo et l'admiration que tu portes pour ce si beau pays que je ne connais que de photos

My favorite!
This tells a lot of the RICE PLANTING PROCESS before it arrives our kitchen.
It's easy to just add to my theme but it's not that simple to comment on it. I will find the right terms and come back to this beautiful shot.
We owe the rice cultivators a lot, and I owe you no less for this story-telling picture.
