Kevelaer is a town in the district of Cleves (Kleve) in German with 27,624 inhabitants. It is the best visited Catholic pilgrimage location within north-western Europe. More than 800,000 pilgrims, mostly from Germany and the Netherlands, visit Kevelaer every year to honor the Virgin Mary.

fameuse idιe ,cette grille en avant- plan avec le motif en fer forgι dιcentrι; elle reprend le qadrillage des vitraux.
Belles couleurs, l'angle un peu penchι anime le tout.

Hi Hermann. Good inclusion of the wrought-iron grid in the foreground for the framing purposes - it establishes the place and a rhythmic element without taking away too much of the colorful and decorative church interior that is shown. Good rendition of the festive mood with the lights.

A very nice framed seethroug shot to get the atmosphere of this pilgrims with spot on the colorful altar well enlightned with the sidelight and the luster with a good sharpness, not easy with the front grill. A good Sunday post.

A really nice creative point of view here Hermann - I like the way that the screen frames the congregation - very nice! The altar in particular is very well placed and the light through the wndow is fantastic - it really is such a good image in what are usually very difficult to balance lighting conditions.

Hi Hermann,
A well composed shot which has captured the essence of the pilgrimage. Your perfect framing and cropping really enhance. The eye is left to roam freely through the window, as if we are peeking into a scene from which we are forbidden. The lighting is well controlled here. Great work, Hermann. I like this one.
