Photographer's Note
It dawns on the Eastern Face of Himalayan Cousins( from left -Lhotse, Everest and Makalu and Chomolonzo) as seen from Sandakphu...
Sandakphu is located on Singhalila ridge on eastern India-Nepal border and is the colosseum for Everest (or Sagarmatha), Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu, 4 of the 5 highest peaks of the world, Everest being the highest, Kanchenjunga third highest, Lhotse Fourth highest and Makalu being the fifth highest peak.It was from Sandakphu and its vicinity that Everest was first sighted in an era when Kanchenjunga was thought to be the highest mountain in the world.

Nice lighting. I really like the long crop that accents how the mountains stretch out over a great distance. The way the shape of the highest brightly lit peaks is repeated in the dark ridge adds a sense of depth. Good POV

Excellent colour. I like the detail in the foreground as it gives the mountains a place on which to sit.

This is a really breathtaking mountain panorama - the colors are beautiful, and the shadows in the valleys give some mysterious feeling. And it is also an interesting informatioin for me - I did not know that it was possible to see Everest from India!
