As I've mentioned in recent postings we managed to be in Hue during floods and the only way around areas near the river was to get out and wade through the water.
It is obvious that Hue does get flooded on a regular basis as these 3 photos show with people getting on with their normal business.

"Normal busines"? living and wade through water in such a flooded area is not normal, Ian.
Unfortunately, many low terrain areas in our planet will suffer in future from such a phenomenon.
Anyway, a good capture in all three posts.

Hello Ian,
Three excellent photos about everyday life during the difficult days of flooding.
The people make the best of the situation.
Similar scenes I once saw in India.
Your second photo in the WS also shows the typical buildings I saw in Vietnamese cities.
I've heard several times that there is not a single month of the year when you can travel across the country without rainfall.

Hello Ian,
Global heating and more frequent extreme weather doesn't bode well for Hue. These photos are unpleasantly fascinating. They are all well taken but rather scary.

Hello Ian,
What you say is absolutely true. These people, accustomed to regular floods, just get on with their daily lives. Floods in our country cause major problems, with travel conditions and damage to homes. Some houses cannot obtain insurance because of their location on flood plains!
Your trio of photographs just show how life goes on!

The people seem to be taking the flood in their stride, all just walking/riding/driving through the water as if this sort of thing happens every day. Great sharpness and exposure, and a good slice of everyday life here.

From your photo, it appears that you visited Vietnam during the rainy season. From the note we learn that flooding is not something new and people have to deal with it somehow.
