Town Hall in Liberec
Liberec is a city in northern Czech Republic, the fifth largest city in the Czech Republic, a winter sports resort located on the Lusatian Neisse, at the foot of Jizera Mountains.

The old town hall in Liberec was built in 1559-1603 and it was burnt down in 1801 by lightning strikes.
The new building was designed in Neo-Renaissance style by architect Franz Neumann, the building was completed in 1893.
The town hall tower is 65 m high, originally a metal figure of a knight was placed at its top, in 1952, the figure was replaced by a red star and in 1989 the knight came back to the top of the tower.
