Photographer's Note
I walked the rows of grave markers, reading the messages inscribed thereon, and taking a few photographs. For some reason, this was one of the chosen - of a young man, killed in action at the age of 23 in the last year of WWII. I would have been 10 years old at the time. The epitaph is taken from the second epistle of Paul to Timothy, chapter 4, verse 7 and the King James version.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." What an amazing and moving tribute! Then verse 8 continues with, "Henceforth there is layde vp for me a crowne of righteousnesse, which the Lord shall give me at that day:"
