Photographer's Note
This Holocaust Memorial a.k.a. Emanuel Tree is located beside the Great Synagogue of Budapest in a a small park named after Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who saved many Jews during the Holocaust. The memorial was sponsored by the Emanuel Foundation of New York, and resembles a weeping willow tree, on its leafs the names of the victims of the Holocaust are inscribed. The memorial is the work of the renown sculptor Imre Varga (b.1923), and was dedicated in 1990. Another view of the memorial is shown in the Workshop.
