Photographer's Note

Palm trees grow in year-round warm weather areas only. Mountains covered with snow can be seen in seasonal cold area only. In Southern California, it has both. I took this photo in San Dimas, a Suburban city of Los Angeles County, a typical LA small community. In the foreground, you can see an old palm tree and new houses under development. The background mountain is Mount Baldy, a small size ski mountain in Angeles National Forest. If you like ocean wave surfing and snow boarding (or ski), you can do both of them in the same day in Los Angeles.

Diversify is the signature of Los Angeles. You may find the richest persons in LA (Hollywood movie stars); you may also find plenty of homeless people in LA (the mild weather requires minimum shelter). No matter which country you come from, you may find many people came from your country in LA. Here is a city of mixed culture, mixed race, mixed religion, and mixed weather.

Yes, Los Angeles’ population is still growing.
