The oak of Badiola, is located in Vocabolo Belvedere, beautiful and impressive, with a trunk circumference of 4.32 meters and a very wide foliage. Badiola was once a small Benedictine monastery occupied by a few monks and little income. It was an ancient law of the Monastery of San Pietro in Perugia, which formerly rector paid the fee for a corba of wheat a year, corresponding to a big basket, today is an orderly and peaceful village. Fun fact, until a few years ago in the square one could admire a great centuries-old elm, elm is now dead, but the residents have kept the stump of the trunk under a glass case, a sign of a great love for their tree . The oak instead is in excellent health and will continue to give its shadow for many years to the inhabitants of Badiola.
