A very atmospheric image with these dark blue tones and glassy watery surface and one well suited to the vertical format. The white boat in the foreground is well placed and makes an excellent focal point. Perfect light management and superb clarity.

Wonderful colors and contrasts. Is this low tide, that the boat is just above the water line, but tipping over gently. I will try to find the area on Google Earth.

Ciao cara Lisa. You went there with Police officer?? It happens that policeman can be photography enthusiast, we know one from Rome :). Nice photo in blue. It seems that the boat lies on the ice. Beautiful reflections.

Hello Lisa

I like the calmness of this photograph, and the unusual choice of vertical format for a composition of this type. A late evening shot I guess. I remember Gosford well: took the kids to the reptile park, and often visited friends in Umina Beach.

Love this low light shot as this just exudes the moody blue atmosphere with awesome light effect. The boat's position is spot on and balances the compo nicely, directing the eye through the pic and touch of warm tone sets the scene as an added bonus. Great work, Congrats.

How delightful - being led to this lovely blue scene at the blue hour by a friendly and helpful boy in blue! But clearly this wasn't one of your blue days if you came away with a beautiful photograph like this!

This is a beautifully calming and restful image and I suspect it was also a very calm day because there's no sign of movement in that foreground boat and I imagine this was taken on a pretty slow shutter (careful!) speed too.

A beautiful composition with lovely soft light and fine colours, The reflections on the calm water are divine and the white boat is perfectly placed as are its tethering ropes. An interesting sky too.

Hello dear Lisa,
a beautiful picture with a great title. I remember the story with the helpful policeman, it's great you were at this lovely, peaceful place in the blue hour that you have the skill to handle so well. You brought out the colours and the atmosphere, the fine sheen and movement of the water, the character of the solitary boat that stands out but certainly belongs there.
