Terrific view of the little bird, Barbara.
Nicely composed with the interesting composition.
Is the flight over and the bird ready to take rest?

Hello Barbara,
A delightful 'action' shot and one which you must have found very pleasing. The head is nice and sharp with a good catchlight in the eye, whilst the wings give motion blur and the feet, like wheels on a plane, are ascending for landing!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Witaj Barbaro
Pieknie uchwycony moment, koliberki najladniej wygladaja wlasnie takie zawieszone w powietrzu, machajace bez wytchnienia skrzydelkami...

Hello Barbara
Oh yes, I enjoy this tremendously. Catching a humming bird in mid flight like that, great work indeed. The bird is perfectly sharp and just a hint of movement in the wings give it a great dynamic. The red feeding box is a great bonus to complete the composition beautifully.
have a great day

Hola Sonata
Of course I enjoy the post, the title, the original work of the landing humming bird
Must be ready and quick to capture it just at the perfect time
Like also the blurred back that helps with contrast
Well done, congrats
Enjoy a good week

Hi Barbara,
We never had the opportunity to see any of these colibris while we were in Austin (our son says he sees them frequently). But is is a very good picture with an incredible sharpness and with so many details. A fantastic capture!

Hi Barbara,
Bravo to capturing this so perfectly, I can see from the blur in the wings and his position that he must have been flapping at incredible speed, but you managed to capture him with such wonderful detail. A National Geographic shot of this little winged chap.
All the best

Czesc Barbara,
jestem wielkim fanem kolibrow. Mialem przyjemnosc ogladac je w Kalifornii. Pamietam kiedy zobaczlem kolibra pierwszy raz -wystraszylem sie bo myslalem ze to duzy owad. Potem zawsze jadlem lunch na zewnatrz, mielismy na kampusie caly rok cos kwitnacego i kolibry byly prawie zawsze obecne.
Swietnie tuaj go uchwycilas. Jestem ostatnio zainteresowany ptakami, ucze sie rozrozniac rozne typy sikorek np wczoraj udalo mi sie sfotografowac wreszcie sosnowke. Mam kilka karmnikow w ogrodzie za oknem :)
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,

Hello Barbara,
What a fantastic stop-action shot. I'm amazed that a shutter speed of 1/500th of a second was able to capture the hummingbird as sharp as you were able to. The iridescent colors of the feathers are perfect. This is a magnificent shot — pointing to the skills of the photographer, and the capabilities of the Canon 60D.
Warm regards, Bulent
