Photographer's Note
In structural geology and geomorphology jargon, a Cuesta (from the Spanish Word meaning Slope) refers to a kind of ridge featuring a stiff slope on one side and a gentle slope on the other side. It is formed by gently tilted sedimentary rock strata as a result of orogeny.
This particular cuesta, with its end engulfed by sea, is called “Gueitou Mountain”

Hi Ralf,
I have to admit, on seeing this shot my mind was instantly drawn to the computer game sim city. Whenever I could, i would always build a radio mast on a peak like this as intakes sit stand out do much better :)
You captured a very unique scene too, the little pele milling around adds a lot of depth and scale to the scene and all those colours are beautiful.
