Photographer's Note
Since it was 3 a.m. and I couldn’t sleep, I figured I put my jet lag to some use and took a shot from my hotel room on a rainy night. In my limited travels I’ve come to the conclusion that there are two distinct cities that take on a completely new dimension in the rain....Venice and Paris.
I don’t know exactly what it is, but a good storm or even a light drizzle seems to transform even a generic scene into something greatly more appealing to the senses. After taking this photo I just sat back and watched the clouds and rain pass through for about the next 30 minutes, which ended up being the perfect cure for a restless evening.

Oh, I love the night Paris too. Simple but very nice scene, good exposure.

Hello Jason,
nice the after midnight shot with the light and the colour management to are captured superb.The turn of the passing by car leaves these white lines making the mage more effective.

Wonderful photo, just the right exposure, the lights of the passing cars the reflection on the wet roaddeck, .... creating a mysterious scene.

Hi Jason,
Exposure time was perfect for this night out in Paris.
Not a strong bulbs-glare, and yet good view of the street, empty on the third part of that night.
Take a pill next time...
