Photographer's Note
Manjavirattu or Jallikattu as popularly known is an exciting sport of bravery held during Maattu Pongal (day for the cattle) in the month of January every year.
Here you see the village youngsters restraining a raging bull.
It is very risky to get on the field with equipment. I took this picture from a ramp about 10 feet above the ground.

I'll say it looks dangerous! Look at all those men under the bull - ouch! Interesting POV (wisely out of harm's way, too!). The tilt just makes the whole scene look more out of control.

beautiful capture karthik...
there is just soo much action in this photograph..
have you considered trying out the velvia or the provia ( both belong to fuji) they're a little expensive but velvia gives nice colours and provia gives good colours and is also a very balanced film.. for this scene even a kodak vs is a good film. im not sure but i think i've already mentioned this to you before

Indeed we had a short meeting and now I see where you must have been watching this festival, right on top of it, I was waiting for this photo of you and I am so pleased that you captured it with a perfect angle to get all dynamic tension and the colors are great, I believe that film will stay a long time ahaed of digital by seeing the depht in this heavy sunlighted photo. Perfect scan and postproces makes this an excellent catch, Karthik, got some more ?
