Photographer's Note
Stephens Island Lighthouse
A remote and very restricted island off the northern tip of the south island. Stephens Island is home to most of the worlds wild Tuatara population. Tuataras are a prehistoric reptile, unchanged for over 250 million years and is considered a living fossil. Countless other seabirds and other reptiles call Stephens Island home. It is truely an amazing place.
If you look close you can see the 2518m Mt. Taranaki on the north island.
