A boy showing off in front of our friend's house in the karcyru neighbourhood of Kigali. The house had previously belonged to members of the Hutu Government before the Rwandan Patriotic Front chased them out with bullets and hand grenades in 1994. The house was surrounded by countryside back then- but now it is a thriving shanty town. There were rumours of forthcoming demolition to make room for better standard housing, causing mixed feelings from local people
