Hi André,
It looks like it is rising from the clouds far above the earth, like a magical place not from reality, like an illusion of the mind. The symmetry of the Taj with the towers on either side is still there balancing out your shot. A very atmosphereic image.

Bonjour André,

Voila une photo qui fait penser a un post tout recent de Angshu un peu dans la meme idée.
Vu les conditions decrites dans ta note, c est deja bien d avoir eu ce resultat qui a le merite de proposer une vue alternative du Taj Mahal.
En tout cas j aime bien et le jeu des silhouettes a pleinement justifié la composition centrée mettant en avant la symetrie de la construction.
C est parfois payant le mauvais temps :-)

ben moi, je remercierai le mauvais temps pour avoir permis cette magnifique photo originale....tu as su gerer au mieux cette difficulté climatique et ce tajmahal est insolite, original,avec une atmosphere tres particuliere...

Qu'est-c-qu'elle est belle cette image unitonale,le premier plan vaporeux crée du mystère et cette architecture se découpent en douceur est magifique.

We have seen many shots of the Taj but this one is unique with the fog and monochromatic look. While I'm sure you had hopes to take a variety of shots with different light at least you were able to get this one.

tu peux remercier le brouillard, il a permis ici une capture tout à fait originale du célèbre édifice.
la douceur de la lumière, la subtilité de ce bleu donnent une image féérique, comme dans un songe.

le taj mahal pris sous une ambiance bien différente de ce qu'on peut faire, une image toute en teinte de bleue, belle maitrise du peu de lumiére

There you are my friend...a picture taken 5 days after I was there, shooting the same view, through the same dense fog, but with the same optimism in our heart, but nature did not relent :-(.

What's interesting is the blue tones, which is quite unlike what I've seen myself. What was the time when you took this shot...much before 7?...that's when the sunrise happens. And you seem to have gone closer to the Taj than I ventured, with it being much bigger and symmetrical...Had it not been the difference in dates, I would have imagined, one of the pro guys with huge tripods, taking pictures (when yours truly, a scraping amateur was doing the same as well) was you!

I am pretty intrigued by Ryan's WS...simple lightening had a good effect on the details of the Taj.

Bonjour, André. Sans vouloir retourner le couteau dans la plaie, je trouve que tu as bien tiré profit des conditions atmosphériques ici. Le Taj Mahal semble s'élever au-dessus du brouillard et faire partie d'un rêve. La composition est tout à fait symétrique, ce qui renforce les qualités architecturales du bâtiment. L'exposition fait ressortir le bâtiment juste ce qu'il faut.

Great to see out of the ordinary view of this very much photgraphed monument. Yes, fog is a challenging weather where good results require luck or perseverance.

Là, je sauterais volontiers à pieds joints sur mon siège si je n'avais pas peur de le casser! C'est une merveille! La lumière est fabuleuse, avec le voile de la brume qui filtre, qui filtre, mais ne cache rien... comme ces saris mouillées des femmes au sortir du bain qui au lieu de cacher leurs formes, les révèlent. Une splendeur! Que je n'ai jamais eu l'honneur de voir avec d'aussi beaux atours...mais tu nous prouves que la majesté du Taj Mahal esr frappante par tous les temps! Félicitations!

the fog has allowed for one of the most beautiful,mystic and romantic pics of the taj.just salute the way you thought of it.almost ethereal magical,SURREAL!
