Thanks to post India's photo. You have covered the Sadhu perfectly in a interesting manner. Sadhus are the integral part of Hindu religion. Nice photo. Congrats.

Great close capture of faith in the eyes here, dof on the eyes, leaving the rest of the face slightly out of focus even. To me this pictures speaks of humanity, hope and warmth. Done with dignity.

A portrait that has history written all over his face, each wrinkle is a story of tear and laughter. There is hope for humanity in those sparkling eyes looking up to heaven. Such a compelling portrait.

Grand fou!! Tu nous pitch ce fabuleux portrait comme ça, sans rien d'autre qu'une phrase super profonde? Je ne suis pas toujours un fan de portrait aussi serré. J'aime contextualiser (même si c,est moins beau esthétiquement). Mais lui, son visage raconte des histoires. J'aime comment il ne regarde pas directement dans la lentille, ça le rend plus profond (même s'il se demande peut-être juste ce qu'il va manger ce soir...).

C'est un de mes portraits préférés (parmi les tiens) et c'est pas peu dire.

Je me suis acheté une lentille 50mm fixe 1.4...J'avais jamais joué avec un jouet aussi le fun!! Zoé est mon modèle préféré depuis un mois...

Hello André,

This is a superb shot of the Indian. What you have done in this portrait, in distinction to the beautiful young woman you posted in the next photo is to place one eye of the man very close to he vertical centerline of the frame. It was discovered in 1998 by the British born psychologist practicing in San Francisco that in the greatest portraits created by the greatest painters — Leonardo, Rembrandt, etc. the centerline passes right through the one eye (it can be the left or right, and it can be the leading or trailing eye, it does not matter). It appears to be an intuitive technique that practice by the gifted artists, and not one that is formally taught. (I wrote about it in my two books on Leonardo.)

L'inde meilleur pays pour les scènes de la vie quotidienne et les portraits.
Intéressant sujet parfaitement cadré serré. Juste un pt'it peu de PDC en plus sous la barbe si j'ose le dire :)

I have write a comment to Absumbdi on a photo looking like your one. I do not think I can do that and it look professional like magazines. But what I like the must is that is only the eyes in focus and make it spiritual so much and getting in his mind and thinking. I think it is amazing to create a photo like this one that is spiritual and human, artistic and attraction. Thank you. Irene
