Photographer's Note
Taken a couple weeks ago
Petrol Pier was named in ww2 and was used to transport fuel and general logistics (freight) to and from Trucks and Boats
the land on the right was filled with American armour ready for the invasion of D-DAY
the land to the left in fact is an island which was set alight to deter the german fighters and bombers from a near by coroldite factory which they were searching for but never found :)
the colours of petrol in the picture really go with the name
hope you all like
thanks for looking

Dorset is a pretty place in the UK, I don't know why I didn't see more of the English coast when I lived other there in the UK. Perfectly exposed, the grads have kept excellent detail throughout the shot, while the colours are soothing to the eye. Great start to TE, very well done Phills.

Hello Phills and welcome to TE!
From your 2 first photos, someone can easily tell that you are a landscape photographer, through and through, and most important, a great one! You know all the "secrets" for this kind of photography, the hours, the wide angles, the long shutter speeds, the use of the NDs! About this particular photo, not much to say! Excellent, well "studied" framing and composition, flawless light managment and magic colours! Impressive overall quality and definition! congratulations!
Best regards,
Hercules

Hi Phill!
That's a wonderful picture, full of colors, interesting and beautiful details!
It has a pretty adequate sharpness and a perfect exposure! The view point was very well chosen and the composition was very well elaborated creating a truly attractive image!
The mostly wooden foreground - man made - contrasts superbly with the water, the horizon line and the sky - nature items! I really like it!
TFS - Congratulations!
Best regards and greetings from Brazil,
