Photographer's Note

This picture was taken last march, at Paseo Coln, a popular pedestrian promenade along the beach at the city of Puerto La Cruz, Anzoategui state, Venezuela.
It's the second most important city of Anzoategui State after its capital which is Barcelona.
The main economic activity of Puerto La Cruz is tourism. With good hotel infrastructure, this city is able to receive tourists from all over the globe.
Puerto La Cruz is the home of an oil refinery which is one of the most important in the country.

This was a very creative protest made by all the members of a elementary school to request resources to the government in order to have a worthy school, because at the moment they didnt have proper conditions to study.
You can make your own conclusions

The protest was in the form of a spectacle, in which different groups of students made shows, like singing, dancing, poetry, etc, all surrounded by hand made placards.
This group of girls made a beautiful choreography with that colourful costumes, and during a rest of the performance I ask them to pose for me.

At the end of the event, the directive of the school gathered a lot of signatures from the assistants to endorse the claim in a roll of more than 200 meters of paper.
