Photographer's Note
Suriname is a poor country, people can almost come around with the pay that they get.
Just like this compatriot that had this jungle house. The neighbours are very brave to live there, because there could be snakes, rats, bush spiders living in the jungle house.
I hope that they demolisch the place, because it"s very sad to see this.
Suriname is a very beautiful country, but this is also Suriname from the other side.

Quite an astonishing view also!
The natural growth of green stuff is impressive!

Wow, how overrun. It is a sad sight but the actual image has a beauty to it that you captured. The way the green is overtaking the old wooden building is very well captured. And it's not only in Suriname like this but I could find countless homes like this only a few miles away from me in the U.S., supposedly the richest country in the world. And so thinking about how much wealth does exist makes it even sadder to see people still live like this. But as I said you captured it in a beautiful way. The lighting was good, the colors stand out and I love the textures of the vines over the roof.

Great POV. Your picture shows a very poor house. It's a nice testimony. Well done Ken. Best regards, Marc
