Interesting photo. I would really like to know the reason behind this photo, I mean why they are dressed up and what they are doing. I spent two years living in Donderskamp and, well these costumes look a bit more touristy than authentic (one can always debate what is authentic). On the other hand I appreciate anything that expresses pride in Indian culture and I'm happy to see this rare photo of the Indians of Suriname.
