Both versions are nice but I think I prefer the one in the WS. The gold on the lake is nice but I find that the silhouettes are too contrasty against this golden lake. It's an agressive contrast that IMO does not work well with a scene full of tenderness. In the WS version, this contrast is not that agressive and reflects more the situation.

Greetings Cesar - I prefer the one you post above with a bit of reflected color on the water. This is a fine composition with the boy off to one side observing the older man with his fishing pole extended beyond the frame. The silhouettes are sharply drawn against the water and I like the dark segment at the top that balances the figures on the bottom. This is certainly one way of compensating for the reputed softness of that lens... ;-)

I like it very, very much. I like WS #1 more. Because 'water' is more strong in it.

Well captured, silhouettes are well placed in your composition. What a beautiful water ... like gold.

The scene let me imagine here, the quiet murmur of the rippled water. The outline of the boy on the golden reflections is really beautiful. A restful shot inviting to the fraternity, Cesar. About the WS, although the unsaturated version be nice, I prefer the colored version. The golden color are more sweet.

Gosto do lindo padrγo com linhas horizontais. Perfeita silhueta com a atitude do pescador com a crianηa. Otimo trabalho.

I can΄t ignore your nice photo, Cesar! First because I like fishing, and second because you did a great job. Nice compositon from a great moment! The silhouette is perfect, and so are the reflections. I like the contrast very much! Congratulations! Tfs!

I like your original version more than the workshop. You have an amazing picture here. The streaks of black alternating with the golden makes the shot even more dramatic. Good job, well done!
