that is the meaning of carnival...
a complete chaos, even though there is rythm, the people dance in chaotic formations..nothing can be controlled here...
The AF gets mad with so many lights and fast movements...the photographer gets disoriented, dizzy, undecided who to shoot (too many beauties!).
I strongly recommend you to participate in the carnival fests as photographers...quite an interesting experience.

A very colourful shot, Cesar, which exudes a lot of energy. Perfectly framed around the girl. Good DOF, with the other girl in the background slightly blurred and less distracting to the main subject. Very well captured.

We belong to a certain style of photography which is photojournalism with a hint of drama but saturated with colors. Instead of taking a general "overview" you had zoomed in on one particular subject, to convey the colors and atmosphere. Too bad I don't have this kind of festivity in Malaysia. Or else, I would make you run for your money Cesar.

Yeah, I agree with the others: the colours and shiny things are great. But to be honest: the smile on this woman's face seems much more artificial (or call it "cramped") than the smile on your previous two pictures of the carnival. Still a great portrait, Cesar!

Black eyes and colors, I love your Carnival model in this very good portrait.
Dof is excellent and framing as well with a good direction to us for the model.

And another great close-up! In this one the DOF is very nice and let the woman be the main subject without distracting backgrounds. You’ve also forgot to mention another difficulty in photographing such an event, which is to capture the hands!
Everybody dance with the arms wide open and it’s very difficult to frame. If we want to show the whole dancer than it’s very likely that the background gets too visible and distracting for the main subject. If we get closer, than the dancer (especially if it notices that we’re going to take a photo) instantly opens the arms! Very complicated task… :-)
Does in Paraguay people dance to the sound of Samba also, or do you have a personal traditional music used in this event?

I understood very well what you meant about the AF problem, Cesar...
But I think you managed very well here, your photo is very good, full of colour, light and also - and mainly -joy and happiness. Well done!
