Among the hills of Valparaiso lies a maze of alleys, houses, staircases and color. New dazzeling colors blaze under the strong sun and the painted alleys and walls revive the spirit while wondering around aimlessly, absorbing the atmosphere and mainly, relaxing...That's what I most liked about Valpo's hills - it takes your stress away and reminds you about the good side of life...
A few words about this scene - as we walked past many alleys, I notice this cat waiting patiently and observing his sorrounding, and was at first surprised to see his indifference to two Chileans sitting by on the staircase - only to grasp a second later it is a wall painting...

Very interesting POW. The decrepit, textured wall on the right gives a good contrast on the sleek, smooth, bright colored wall painting. I imagined the cat wondering and asking the passers-by if the twoo clileans are real :) Good catch. TFS

This is really good, Chen. There's great texture and colour in the wall, and that painting lends a slightly surreal touch to the scene.

Good compo you've got here. The light on the wall painting is excellent and really gives the impression that this is a real stairway with two guy sitting there. I also like the way the cat is looking at you.

I stick for this marvellous standing frame looking in this colored alley, the yellow outcenterd the real eyepuller to those two men on the steps but what is most surprising is the cat down, funny how she looks also to the camera, really a unique moment, you must have a lot of luck for such strong capture, outstanding.

Well noticed and well captured...a lovely idea with a result that really had me quessing.Very difficult to tell what is real and what is not as you have managed to balance the light and combine the colours perfectly.You can almost smell the peeling paint and old wood.Well done!

it's not my today;s cat picture that brought me here,something about the colours in the thumbnails attracted me, and in full sie it loks even better. there's a wonderful atmosphere of these sun-faded walls and old stairs. you made a great composition dividing the frame, where the right half is filled with "men and cat life". i really like this one.
