Hi Craig,

Of course I like it - no I don't - I love it!!

The light here is truly magical and you have captured the moment and the scene perfectly. The bright sky contrasts well with the dark Moai and the grassland around but yet we can still see perfect details in both the deepest shadows and also in the brightest parts of the image.

Your composition is excellent, the light and colours are divine and the details and sharpness, as always, are exquisite.

That's one the places that I want to go soon! At the beginning of the year there was a great sales promotion to the Easter Island by TAM and LAN, but I lost it... The sunset captured is beautiful with the Moai in the foreground! Wonderful composition! Very good job!

love this! It is so effective at giving us an insight as to what this amazing little island is like. The light and ambience it imparts is both magical and sublime. A real sense of quiet and calm at what must have been an unforgettable experience. Stunning imagery and a real gem of a shot!

I can't deny the magic of this place and in this light. The clouds seem to have been delivered as ordered. I will save a lot of money looking at this and your other photos instead of going all the way there myself. But you should have tried to make a link to the earlier picture to make the comparizon easier :-).

it΄s easy to understand why you want to get back there so much.
The combination of these Moai statues and so beautiful light makes the shot very moody.It΄s tranquil and above all so mysterious.
I΄m also impressed how excellently you were able to depict details and colors in the FG so good.

A gorgeous sky, which adds a touch of drama in this spectacular composition, with this moai in the foreground and a flat landscape and green, which gives a sense of loneliness.

Craig, this shot has really nice mood lighting; glad you resisted trying to lighten everything up. The clouds seem to point directly at the head of the Moai in the foreground. This really does look like an amazing place. Thanks.

Also for me it was my favorite location with the line of fifteen moais standing back to the sea. Magical view here with a really special light. Excellent composition and the clouds seem to radiate from moai. Marvelous light and colour.

Hello Craig,
both the close view of the lonely Moai and the distant view of the group of 15 are awesome. I believe it's wonderful and touching to have both views in the same frame, under such a fascinating lighting and in so rich and moody colours. Your point of view is superb, apart from an immense view, you've associated the dynamism of the clouds with the solitary Moai so intriguingly. The textures have been rendered marvellously, the breaking light is touching the scenery ever so mildly. Truly suggestive, congratulations and thank you! The workshop pictures are wonderful, their atmosphere is strikingly different.

this is a very striking picture. the figure in the foreground is quite impressive, and i love how you have composed this with the row of figures behind the main one. the sky is also moody and adds to the overall drama of the picture. the colours and light are superb. a great picture.

Hello Craig,

This is an unusually successful photo of a Moai set against the rising sun. Until you pointed them out, I had missed the line of Moai statues. I have not seen all your shots from Chile yet, but was this part of a cruise, and, if so, what line?
