Photographer's Note

The Itamaraty Palace, located at the Ministries Esplanade and along Monumental Axis, is the main office of Ministry External Relations of Brazil. The architetures project was designed by Oscar Niemeyer (1907). In the left, the sculpture, The Meteor, was designed by the brazilian sculptor Bruno Giorgi (1905-1993). The Meteor was carved in italian white marble from Carrara. This sculpture is composed by five blocks that represent the five Continents. Another work by Bruno Giorgi.
