Photographer's Note

I planted many juηara palm trees (Euterpe Edulis) in my kitchen garden and it was a way to put them in the landscape again, once they were very usual in the area where my street was built when it was a jungle.
There is a special moth that loves their leaves to put their eggs and made large nests for their huge caterpillars that will devour most of the leaves of the palm tree, sometimes they are so numerous that let the tree completely nude and when the wind is strong they go down and the caterpillars (that has a phalic aspect) begin to walk in the ground and the women hate that, this is the reason most of housewives hate palm trees in their homes. I usually try to remove the nests of the caterpillars, but sometimes I don't have enough time to do that.
Here we can see the damage in one of the leaves.
