Photographer's Note
At side of that waterfall I showed in these last days there is a rock carved by the Spaniards directed by Alvar Nuρes Cabeza de Vaca. He and his soldiers begun an amazing journey from seashore of Brazil crossing Peabiru road, an indian road linking Brazilian seashore and Peru. In this same jouney Alvar was the first white man to see Iguassu Falls, located in the same road. The history of this man is fabulous, one of the most impressive I read or heard about in my life. Here, how it was used in that time, some of the soldiers carved a cross in the edge of the road indicating a Cristian guy had passed in that point, there are other ancient signs around and, unfortunately, some vandals wrote their stupid names around in the modern times because this is a unprotected monument. Probably this is the oldest cross made in southern Brazil, 16th century.
