USINA HIDROELÉTRICA DE URUBUPUNGÁ!
URUBUPUNGÁ HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT!

In the border of the States of SÃO PAULO (Southeastern Region) and MATO GROSSO DO SUL (Center-Western Region), in the PARANÁ River, this is one of the largest brazilian hydroelectric power plants, part of a complex of three unities that also includes ILHA SOLTEIRA/SINGLE ISLAND (PARANÁ River) and TRÊS IRMÃOS/THREE BROTHERS (TIETÊ River)!

My father worked there from 1967 to 1983 (when he got retired) and we lived in a community that was built specially for the workers, called VILA DOS OPERADORES, where, fortunately, I had a high quality childhood and teenage, with good school (from kindergarten to the 8th grade - 10 years of study), house (comfortable homes, with free electricity, telephone and transportation to the nearby cities), security and freedom (children could go to school and other places all by themselves since early ages - parties were only fun and many people from the nearby cities would go there for fun and calm enjoyable moments) and leisure facilities (river beach, club for sports, like swimming, tenis, soccer, basketball, volleyball courts and so forth), movie theater, dancing room etc.!

Hidroelectric Power Plants still are the brazilian main source of electricity!
