The brazilian President Juscelino kubitschek sculpture at Buzios beach coast.

"Armaηγo dos Bϊzios", often referred as "Bϊzios", is a resort town located in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil.

Once the preserve of pirates and slave traders, the peninsula of Bϊzios, located at 100 miles (169 km) northeast of Rio de Janeiro city, is today the haunt of the rich and famous of the world who flock to the city to enjoy the beaches and the night life.

The peninsula was popularized by legendary movie star Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s, and her statue still sits along the "Rua das Pedras" (Street of stones).

The peninsula is a beach resort with an active night life and restaurants. The west coast beaches offer calm and clear waters while the east coast ones, facing the open sea, are a bit more wild and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts.

Bϊzios is a popular destination for cruise ships.

what a beautiful scene: a nice seascape framed by the tree branches with the statue as focal point and a lovely light on the peaceful sea populated of boats. Delicious capture!

What an unusual and well-placed sculpture, excellently caught in your photo. In the play of light and shadow, at first sight it seems alive and enjoying the beauty of the harbor. Nicely done.

The great framing led me to chose this photo instead of the sunset, which I ordinarily would chose. I like the way you framed the 'man' sitting in the shade on the curved deck with the windless harbor in the background.

curiosa escultura, relembra bem o presidente e seu jeito de ser, gosto da presenηa da escultura, como se ele estivesse ali, admirando a paisagem e acenando para os admiradores. sσ vi um presidente atι hoje, e era JK, infelizmente eu era pequeno demais para entender quem era ele ou reter este momento, JK estava exilado em lisboa , 1968, acenou para os meus pais que o reconheceram.

Esta estα ainda mais linda do que a anterior, especialmente pelo ponto de vista privilegiado muito bem escolhido e pela composiηγo muito bem realizada, na qual todos os elementos foram harmoniosamente colocados no "quadro": a estαtua, o "pier" de madeira", a αrvore, os barcos e o cruzeiro! Enfim... tudo!

Very nice nad too very sympatic composition. The vegetation and the old man, on the right of the FG, give a very sympatic element of life and too a great depht to the image with the prospect open to the seascape. Image rich in details well colected too.

Interesting point of view! I like the natural framing on top and the charming view on the sea. There are so many different boats of all sizes. Very good contrasts and shadows. The statue is a bonus to the composition.

Espetacular esta composiηγo. Eu vν a imagem no pps (obrigada) mas nγo sabia quen era o personagem. Assim na sobra da αrvore, abanando, parece atι real. As cores estγo fantαsticas, o navio de cruzeiro ao fundo, uma atmosfera de tranquilidade, encantadora.
