Series on my trip to the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA (DIAMOND MOUNTAIN RANGE) - State of BAHIA - The NORTHEASTERN REGION of BRAZIL - From August 1st to 9th, 2009 - # 009 !
ENTARDECER !
EARLY EVENING !
After walking almost 25km, from the top of the plateau called "Gerais do Rio Preto", I could see the VALE DO PATI/PATI VALLEY, where I'd stay four more days, walking a lot, living with the local inhabitants! The way down was quite steep and then had to go up one more time (one can see the tracks down there) to finally arrive in the first house I'd spend the night!
We (I and the guide) had to hurry because all the local animals (like snakes) would go out at night! Up there met some french people who would do something similar to me!
The shadow one can see in the bottom part of this picture was from the high rocky wall I'd go down right after taking some pictures, having something to eat and resting a bit! It was quite steep and pretty hard to go down! My knees would be tested so hardly!

Hello Ney,
Another good capture of this fascinating landscape. I like the long deep perspective down between these flat topped peaks. Also, how the light picks up the different greens. Very good sharpness. You might want to think about cropping out the shadow area at the bottom.

Bonjour Neyvan ,
Quel merveilleux et spectaculaires paysage ! le regard se laisse porter dans ces superbes canyons , et on aimerais être un oiseau pour survoler cet endroit . La verdure est très belle , sous une jolie lumière . Et j'aime bien aussi la partie sombre du premier plan , qui ne me gêne pas du tout .

Bela panorâmica. Parece aqueles grandes canyons do sudoeste dos EUA, mas com muito mais verdura.

Olá Ney,
tenho um 'T' para visitar esse lugar. Volta e meia eu fico paquerando algumas fotos na internet e imaginando quantas composições não rendem essas paisagens. Sua foto é um belo exemplo de como aproveitar bem o momento e lugar. 16:35 me parecem perfeitas para resgatar esse tons dourados sobre as rochas e um azul suave do céu. O registro da Lua fica como a cereja do bolo. Belíssimo registro!

This one looks similar to the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Excellent colour, sharpness & saturation. Good colour contrasts between the reddish tinted rock faces, & the blue sky. Parabens!

Hello Neyvan, the landscape is just amazing. I can even see the moon on the sky which adds some romantism. Maybe, I would have cropped the shadowed part at the bottom.
In your note, you mention local animals, snakes, etc. I really wonder; what sort of animals and snakes exist in this area?

I notice how the lush green vegetation combines with the rocky wall of the canyon...

uma magnífica vista do vale, aparentemente está bem preservado, vejo apenas uma nesga de pastagem na parte baixa. muito boa esta luz, as cores e o pov estão impecáveis. lindo local, jamais havia visto uma foto deste vale.
vc contatou este guia em diamantina ? imagino que este local seja distante da cidade, vc teve que alugar um carro para ir vc e o guia, ou ele é que levou vc até o inicio da jornada ? é o guia que agendou esta pousada no meio do vale ?

Hello,
The point of view is just amazing ! It's an incredible place. You should use a polarizer filter to increase saturation in the sky.
Anyway it's a wonderfull picture !

Cette vallée est vraiment très impressionnante. Je ne la connaissais pas hormis par tes photos. J'adore les grands espaces verts comme celui-là !

Hi Neyvan,impressive view no doubt! Very nice colors. If you want to make more quality and effective photos shooting only in RAW format and edit with RAW convertor.
In this case you can use ND gradient filter for more effective sky(it very easy with Adobe Photoshop CS4). Try it!
