Sιrie sobre a minha viagem ΰ CHAPADA DIAMANTINA - Estado da BAHIA - Regiγo NORDESTE do BRASIL - De 01 a 09 de Agosto de 2009 - nΊ 003 !
Series on my trip to the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA (DIAMOND MOUNTAIN RANGE) - State of BAHIA - The NORTHEASTERN REGION of BRAZIL - From August 1st to 9th, 2009 - # 003 !
LENΗΣIS is the main town in the region of the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA! There are many others, some worse, some better, some much smaller, some a bit bigger! The whole region of the DIAMOND MOUNTAIN RANGE is bigger than BELGIUM! I was there only two nights (the first and the last ones) and this photo was taken in the early morning, when clouds were still pretty low (many times it rained), before heading to my next place!

Bonjour Neyvan ,

Well composed image making good use of the opposing diagonals of the river and the bridge. It is an attractive old stone bridge and the three arches work very well in the scene.

Une bonne soirιe a toi.

Hello Neyvan,
Beautiful stone bridge and very nice composition, what kind of liquid is running in that river? Seems to be very dirty.
Have a nice evening, Vasilis.

Hi Ney!
I wish I could once visit Brasilia.
It looks so cool; I think in my life it will remain just a dream/wish, but at least your photos bring your home us nearlier.
Take care

Hello Neyvan,
This is an impressive stone bridge, apparently constructed in a medieval design..!
Seems like a big bridge for the small river, probably more water during the rainy period...
Good point of view resulting in crossing diagonals in the frame!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi, Ney,
I once learned from an anthropology scholar that "three" is the most magic number of completeness for westerners. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow; gold, silver, and bronze; the holy trinity; green, yellow, and red traffic lights; and so on...
So, it is great that you have pictured here three arches in this interesting bridge. It's complete!
The compositional architecture of your photo is very nice, with a diagonal line of the water intersecting the soft diagonal of the bridge, which in turn draws our eyes upward to the town on the hillside. The plant in the lower left does nicely in softening this corner, which helps to strengthen the emphasis on the main lines.
I see the comment about the dark water and your reply. From my experience, your explanation appears exactly right. Similar waters are found in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey: high in tannins and very pure for drinking.
Regards,
- William

Hi Ney,
very picturesque view with the old (how old, I wonder?) bridge in the FG. Yes, it looks like the weather was rather dull, and the white sky wouldn't add much to the picture! So I like your chocie of POV with the very minimal inclusion of the white sky :)
Very best wishes!
Elena
