From the top (41 and 42nd floors - TERRAÇO ITÁLIA with 04 restaurants) of the EDIFÍCIO ITÁLIA/ITALY BUILDING, a view of the CENTRO VELHO/OLD DOWNTOWN of the city of SÃO PAULO. Now looking towards the north, the trees in the lower foreground is the PRAÇA DA REPÚBLICA/REPUBLIC SQUARE, on the right one can see the AVENIDA IPIRANGA/IPIRANGA AVENUE and far away in the upper bg, the SERRA DA CANTAREIRA/CANTAREIRA MOUNTAIN RANGE.


ONE WS VERSION :
A closer view, where one can see better the buildings in the fg and the mountain range in the bg. One of the tallest ones, right in the middle, is called EDIFÍCIO ANDRAUS/ANDRAUS BUILDING. It CAUGHT FIRE back on February/24/1972, probably because of an electrical problem in the air conditioning system, causing 16 FATAL VICTIMS and 345 INJURED PEOPLE. Things in all the buildings of the city started to get better with that terrible accident with more prevention (non-existent by that time) and so forth!
