THE NEW BUS STATION !
LA GARE ROUTIÈRE NOUVELLE !
When I moved to CAMPINAS, back in 1986, the BUS STATION was already old, inappropiate and located in a bad place! I used to travel every month to my parents' home, usually on holidays and it was terrible to get the bus there - crowded, smelly and with buses being delayed sometimes for hours! People complained and there had been complaints years and years before that!
Well, 2008 was the year for the change! It's near the old one, but in a much better place! Urban changes were made to make it better and nicer! The building itself is a lot better and here's one picture taken in its inside!
As for the bus service, it was always good, but on holidays the delays were terrible because of the traffic around the bus station, right in the middle of downtown, with narrow streets and so forth! With rain, gee... it was almost impossible! Today, no problems anymore, because there was an urban rearrangement around the bus terminal, with better ways in and out, so scheduled buses face no more delaying problems! There was also an improvement regarding all the service! For example, my mom and dad came to Campinas last february so we could fly to the Northeastern region of the Country and the ladies were so kind with them, helping them to get the lift/elevator, for example, and the guys, helping them with the bags! I was really surprised with all that! It took long, but it finally got better! Now, we're waiting for the "brazilian TGV" that will link Campinas-São Paulo-Rio! Maybe 5 or 6 years to go!!!

An animated daily life image with some interesting graphical elements. The vertical format is well chosen to take advantage of the perspective offered by the curving roof line and to show both floors. The green illuminated clock adds a nice splash of colour. Excellent detail.

The strong curves called me from the thumbnail. good light management with very difficult lighting. The big question is, Did the actual bus service improve? Or are you no longer taking the bus?

I like the perspective view very much, and the vertical format is the best in this case!
There are very many details but the whole scene looks well balanced, nevertheless :-)

bela vista da nova rodoviária, gostei do enquadramento que aproveita bem as curvaturas do prédio e da luz. mal me lembro da rodoviária velha. O problema com rodoviárias novas é que os governantes as erguem bem longe do centro e a gente tem pagar uma grana de taxi, haha
