Photographer's Note
I return to this beautiful island again after my last post. Morro de Sao Paulo is a jewel just outside Salvador. While most tourists go for the fantastic beaches (there are four, appropriately named, First Beach, Second Beach, Third Beach, and Fourth Beach) this island (Morro de Sao Paulo is a village on the island of Tinharι) also has some interesting architecture. The outer wall pictured here is almost 300 hundred years old and skirts around the northern part of the village. And when I was walking around this area (just by the boat launch) I was the only one snapping photos as everybody heads straight to the beaches.
You can really picture how life would have been hundreds of years ago when the Europeans first landed in this area. The island really has a colonial Caribbean feel to it, while still being 100% Brazilian. An interesting combination.
It is a fantastic place, and I'm already planning on going back some time in the summer.
P.S. I know it's a terrible title, I am completely drained of creative juices right now and would love a better title suggested.

Hello David,
beautiful picture. Some years ago I have been in Morro de Sao Paulo but I can't remember this place. Very good seen.
I like a lot your POV here. Good contrast between the different blue of the sea and of the sky and the shining wall with the green plants above. Very well done.
Thanks for sharing

hi David,
I really like the warm light here, it's so calming and relaxing, and together with the beaches you mention in your note this would be exactly what I'd need right now. smart idea to include the boat, it nicely balances the composition with the walls filling the opposite corner. very nice work, my compliments.
regards,
Kristine
