So, after many critiques regarding noise levels, I found the time to retouch this veteran post.
I used Neat Image to clean up the grain and then went to Photoshop to tilt it 0.5 degree CCW, crop it appropriately, cleaned up some scan spots with the healing tool, applied moderate sharpening with USM and framed it with a classic Black frame. Hope you like it!

Salar de Uyuni is one of the most bizarre places on the face of the earth. The biggest salt flat in the world, the Salar is located at an amazing 3650 meter ASL and is estimated to contain no less than 10 billion tons of salt (from Wikipedia).
At winter time the Salar is covered with a thin layer of water that leads to out-of-the-world views and illusions, when sky and earth switch places in vertigo-like manner. Those ten minutes of sunrise at that day were by far one of the most beautiful moments In my life.
Cropping was applied to the picture.

this is an amazing picture of a stunning place. The sky is divided in two completely separate layers and that makes the reflection so remarkable.
