Photographer's Note
This is the first post of my first travelogue, and a typical view of western Patagonia - lots of rivers, lakes and forests that sorround amazing peaks, in this case, the famous Fitzroy. I will get more personal with the mountain once we get near...
We came to El Pilar, a converging point of two rivers which was also the place where an attractive cabin-hotel was standing among the forest trees. This was also our starting point into the Rio Blanco path that runs couple of km's south to the first camp.
It was a clear-clear day of Christmas, after couple days of overcast greying clouds. It looked very promising...

Nice mountain landscape here. The mix of colours is stunning with the river flowing throuch green fields and the snowy peak in the background.

Chen, I like the composition. I'd burn the middle-area a little more, still looks a little overexposed. Besides that little detail, the image is great. well done. Thanks for sharing!

A good choice of portrait format to get this run from the water and rocks through the foliage of the middle ground to the starkness of the mountains - a great feel to the image and the sense of your impending journey.

Hi Chen,
Like this one a lot.Very picturesque and pastoral.The water movement was a good choice.Handled the difficult light on the foreground undergrowth well.Great depth and composition.

Hi Chen, this would look even better if you used a 2 stop ND grad filter. the top of the mountain looks a little overexposed. get the Hi Tech or Singh Ray
