Photographer's Note
This is a re-post of a modified version of this picture. I've modified the picture following what was suggested to me, like re-croping (not to much, so the lighthouse will stayed off-centered) to eliminate some sky and I've reduced the noise with NeatImage.
Let me know what you think of this new version compare with the old one.
Thanks :-D

This was a good black and white image!!!
I like all those diagonal lines repeating all the way from the clouds down to the ground and the water. Good detail to have some motion in the water. Actually I have very few critiques here. Maybe some cropping on the sky to make it a bit more square...

What a place! This is sea/lands/cloudscape photography at its best. Great scene and very good grayscale representation of it (which cam are we talking?). I like it a lot as it stands, but you might wanna try a less centered composition (cropping a bit from the left (and a bit from the top to keep the format)) or a more consequently centered one (cropping from right and top).

Beautiful. I love the looming sky and the rolling waves. The lighthouse could be a little sharper maybe.

I love this one! BW works perfectly and brings out the different stucture of the clouds, the rocks and the water. Thje sky and the clouds are amazing!
Very well seen and very well presented.

Awesome photo. Great tonal range. It is nice how you can see the lighthouse in the water. And the clouds are just great! Great B/W!

I like this picture for the nice composition and threatment you've done. The lines of clouds give all the perspective and movement; the B&W tones add to the solitude (but not boring) atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing, "two thumbs up" for your job!

this is quite striking. excellent tonal range, and your composition is attention grabbing. The detail and crisp focus is great. Really a great shot.
I don't know which i like better though. This one has more tonal range, but I tend to like dark moody b&w. I think the best thing about this one is the "neatimage" clean up and the improved sky.

Hi Romain,
I am a huge fan of B&W. Well controled contrast and catching eye sky. The composition is much better after the modification. Could be a bit more details in the rocks.
Best regards
Alex
