This a repost of a slightly modified version of Monteverde's Cristo. Some parts of the statue are very bright and merged with the background in the orginal picture. But neither level, curves, dodging nor contrast masking would have brought details that doesn't exist. I've should have set the correct exposure when taking the picture.
My only solution was to re-create the backgroung around those bright areas.

This statue of the Christ is placed in the middle of the Recoleta of cemetery. Every main alleys in the cemetery converge to the statue. The Italian sculptor Guilio Monteverde sculpted it.
